Steven Gray is a strategic communications executive with global experience operating at the intersection of institutional narrative, reputation, and trust. As a consultant—including through his advisory practice, Think Bold Communications—his clients have included Square, Notion and Techonomy. At BP, he led US digital communications and creative strategy during pivotal energy and leadership transitions, partnering with teams across London and Europe on campaigns for policy, financial, and internal audiences. At Meta, he grew a digital content engine that reached millions of tech-informed people, and launched executive thought leadership programs demystifying AI, the metaverse, AR/VR, and sustainability.

Previously, Steven shaped corporate storytelling as Managing Editor at JPMorgan Chase, creating digital content for 50 million+ people across lines of business. At Laureate Education, he led corporate social responsibility and global public affairs, designing social impact and communications programs across Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Across roles, he has built cohesive, high-performing teams and aligned diverse stakeholders around strategic narratives that advance organizational priorities.

Steven began his career as a journalist with The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and TIME, reporting on business, politics, policy, and leadership from Washington, New Orleans, Chicago, and Detroit, with assignments in Paris and Jakarta. In 2026, he returned to TIME as a contributor, authoring two essays for the magazine’s Michael Jackson special edition, tied to a biopic—reassessing one of the most complex cultural figures in modern history and the narrative systems that continue to shape his legacy.

He earned a BA in journalism from Howard University and studied at the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies.
