Steven Gray is Head of Content/Tech Communications Director at Meta (Facebook), leading a team of editors, writers, video producers and other creators building content about artificial intelligence, augmented/virtual reality, engineering, innovation, social impact, and leadership, among other topics. Between 2016 and 2018, he was Vice President/Managing Editor at JPMorgan Chase. He created successful, revenue-generating campaigns and series that introduced the brand’s products, services and people to diverse audiences. He helped build content programs with some of the world’s most innovative digital media companies, and he created the JPMorgan Chase Content Summit.
The first half of his career has been in traditional journalism. During five years at Time Inc., he worked in a variety of roles – including Time magazine/Time.com’s Washington Correspondent covering the intersection of politics, policy and business, as well as Detroit Bureau Chief, developing print and digital content for Time, Fortune, Money and People. Previously, he was a staff reporter for The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. He has interviewed CEOs, heads of government, Aretha Franklin, Deepak Chopra, and everyday working people.
He was born in New Orleans and graduated from Howard University. He was a graduate student at the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies. He has provided analysis on MSNBC, CNBC, Fox, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He lives in New York.
